I’m not a ‘PollyAnna’ who thinks this proposed
action will solve All Problems.
The Concept is Simple -
“A New Broom Sweeps Clean!”
At least for a little while, until it gets worn.
Then, another New one is needed!
The point is to STOP Re-Electing the Same Old
So-Called ‘Representatives’ -
Permanent Politicians who are Embedded -
And ‘In Bed With’ the Corporations!
The Chance, or Opportunity to Change - The ‘System’ -
Some “New Blood’ that Might have the Patriotism
To Actually Repeal Bad Laws!
To Possibly Install a “One Term’ Limitation
On ALL Offices!
To Eliminate the Wasted Billions of Dollars
Of ‘Campaigning’ - and ‘Graft’ - and ‘Kick-Backs -
And Life-Time Benefits and Retirement -
Get Elected - Serve One Term - Then Go Home!
“THE BUCK STOPS HERE!”
No - It will Not happen Over-Night -
It will take Years to Accomplish such a Major Change!
But by God - This November -
Can Send a Message that The American People -
Are Sick and Tired - and We Won’t Take It Any More!
Just Imagine If - Tens of Thousands of Us ‘Little Guys’ -
Simply Wrote Our Own Names In Each Ballot!
Sure - Many Incumbents will still get Re-Elected -
Because all their Cronies will vote for them -
BUT - the Numbers will be Disastrously Small!
Maybe - Just Maybe - They’ll Take The Hint!
All the Kennedy’s and Byrd’s and Bush’s And Others -
Who supposedly ‘Served’ for 10-20-30-40 Years
Need to Learn to Go Get ‘Honest Jobs!’
Alas, where you gonna find 'unembedded' ones? Election campaigns cost millions and millions of dollars, today. And guess how candidates get those millions - 'in bed with' corporations.
And watch some of the political ads for these so called heroic newcomers who are gonna roust the nasty old incumbents and save the day - many of them are corporate bigwigs themselves. Guess what the odds of them 'jumping out of bed' are. 0
