I will always be a dreamer... even when my feet are firmly grounded my inner eyes gaze into the fathomless depths of a never-ending dream.
Dreamer child you still are, Eyes strung with the brilliant light of a million hopeful stars You've run through never-ending seas of waving grass you seem unafraid, so brave to those who see the armour and the sword Oh Lord! You wear such a convincing mask And now you find yourself gasping and teetering dangerously atop a cliff of fragile glass
life's trials and travails threaten ever..but the memory of one's true self is there as a panacea, a shelter against the storm. an excellent evocation, poet..

Powerful, expressive write that I totally enjoyed. I believe the state of mind you are in now is the stepping stone of very pleasant surprises :-)......keep the faith and enjoy your break.
Chanti dear, this is a fantastic work of the inner soul. I am a dream child too, and will always be, I suspect. We dream od things we cannot have, but wish we did. We dream of a life that has eluded for so long. We dream of making money, and being the boss. We dream. I have also stood at the edge of that cliff of fragile glass. This very good Chanti. Oh and BTW, we ALL NEED a break (giggles). may the Lord Jesus bless you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie
It is always a plus to know who and where you are in life. You state it beautifully here. There comes a time when we all need to find our niche. I wish you the best and know it will not be goodbye but adieu. God Speed and Bless You.
Leaves of absence seems to be a trend lately here and elsewhere. Requires some contemplation. Oh, well. Do take care, Chanti. Like Mitzi said, "Handle yo' business." ;-)

you take care; you will be missed! do know that if you want to come by again, we will be here, waiting for you! beautiful poem, chanti'; very well done!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in america, karen lynn in texas. :(
Do your thing. Take your break. Give us a holler when you return. I don't see anything in this fragile, giving poem that would cause me to think you needed a break.
The graphic image and your beautiful and meaningful verses unite to convey a message that goes deep in my soul, dearest Chanti. You may say that this is a work in progress but it is completely wonderful as it is honestly and poetically expressed. Take care of yourself precious person. Much love to you.

Dearest Chanti;
You may well need a break, dear (as few know more than I), but not from your creative works, as they are getting better and better rather than paling. This is an excellent example of such. The brevity yet beauty, 'disconnected thoughts' yet meaningful...and the very wise usage of each line...proves you are still one of the 'greats.' Bless you, dear heart, and keep yourself healthy. THAT is more important than anything else!
You have to make time for your thoughts
and dreams Chanti! It's the one thing
that lifts you above everyone else and
a poet owes themselves that. I think!
I would and will miss your work, but
I know you'll be coming back to it.
Disconnected thoughts? This may well be one of your best works! I wish you strength and courage on your journey, Chanti. Do come back, as we need your tender heart...
Wow! Chanti, that is such a beautifully written piece for a train of thought. It's sad that the real world interupts or dreaming all too often. You will be missed very much...I for one will eagerly await your return in the not too distant future.
Oh Chanti I so so hope you will change your mind. You are a delight to read and your messages stir the hearts and souls of your fellow writers. There are times though and yes I do understand that we do need to change directions and walk a different path but I hope your new path will soon rejoin us on ours.
We seem to be on the same page today...dreaming of what may be, what was and what may never be...dreaming of the future, memories of the past & not knowing where to go or what to do when we get there...I know these feelings well though you have written of them with much better imagery than I ever did...enjoy all these feelings as afterall, they ARE LIFE! ED
Dreams, though fragile, and sometimes a bit far fetched are the things that drive me and get me through my days...don't lose them even if you are at a crossroads Chanti! The day I lose my dreams is the day I become a bitter old hag. haha! Hey for spontaneous thoughts, this was very very good. Hugs, Michelle
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
