Why do intelligent people choose to believe in random accident?
They think their logic takes them through without impediment.
Life just jumping into the mix of those sordid primordial pools,
Does this pass the common sense test often aced by simple fools?
Then there is the origin of the universe attributed to the Big Bang;
Spontaneous combustion happening that out of nothing sprang.
That the sun, moon and stars assembled themselves on their own;
That the thread of Nature’s glorious tapestry just randomly sewn.
A thought process took place credited to the intelligence of chance,
As if love could possibly be attributed to an emotionless romance.
How can it be that no sound in the universe has the sound of finality,
That the earth, the planets and their moon orbit without any tonality?
As inexplicable as some druidic configuration ten thousand years old,
Or that the moon has no meaning other than that it is pale and cold.
There are untold stories in the universe, with no tongue to tell them;
There is music to the heavenly spheres with no ear to listen to them.
We live with life’s mysteries as though we were adrift and lost at sea;
When I look at myself in the mirror, I understand I am looking at me.
A chance intelligence may stumble upon the first man ever to see light;
To erase all of life’s mysteries from existence, he would only see night.

The Big Bang theory can hold no candle to your mellifluous words. The phrase "As if love could possibly be attributed to an emotionless romance" resonants in my heart. As if life can be created by a soulless being.
Some very profound statements about the universe and how it is governed. It is very interesting that starting back with the Druids 10,000 years ago and then later with Egyptians and Mayans, devices were created predict the return of fruitful, and evil, astronomical events. Hence, the first science, astronomy. The laws of physics and quantum physics have gradually been derived from these early devices that had predictability, not random accident, capability. That does not mean there are no mysteries left to be solved. On the contrary, this activity has actually increased the number of mysteries still be understood.
