Our thoughts are a supreme vanity;
They arrive at our doorstep unasked.
Our musings are a form of insanity,
Gathered from a rich and unlikely past.
They roam freely unleashed, untethered;
They skip and prance through days weathered.
Beelzebub himself, it seems, can do no wrong;
We speak every word and we sing every song.
From where they come, they go back that way,
Without so much as a gesture of dismissal.
They fly overhead in circles like a bird of prey,
Even when reflecting as we read from our missal.
Our thoughts like butterflies surveying the garden,
In search of sweet nectar, with no interest in pardon.
WONDERFUL THINGS...OUR THOUGHTS. PRIVATE, PERSONAL, COMPLETELY, AT TIMES,...VAIN! WELL THERE WE HAVE IT AND 'THE WORD' DOESN'T LIE! THANK GOD FOR FORGIVENESS AND FOR THE 'GIFT' OF WIPING THE SLATE CLEAN...EVERY TIME WE REQUEST IT. THANKS FOR SHEDDING THE LIGHT ON...HOW EVEN OUR THOUGHTS NEED PARDONING! ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS.
totally good! yes, our thoughts kill us, first attacking our mind/heart, which is pure by definition but deeply within. we maybe so devilish with our thoughts if not to become a mirror reflecting the outer influences and influencers. Cheers, alex
Very few of us are able to freely express our thoughts. It seems like Donald Trump can and get away with it. While I don't express my thoughts very often, my caregivers tell me that I'm quite expressive when I have dreams, especially bad ones. They have taken to ignoring them, but I must say some rather outrageous things.
Subjectively speaking: Each of our lives reflect the results of our dominant thoughts. It's very important (for me) to examine the thoughts that pass through and question them. As writers: in our thoughts, and the resultant words (which make known our thoughts) we create our own weaknesses and strengths. A fine insight. You've touched on a subject here I could get very wordy with. Peace... r
Your image was intriguing, so are your words, I agree, at the end of our life time we have accumulated a mansion full of thoughts of all kinds, You say it so well John, Have a wonderful day,

Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
