He bore each of his days as a burden on his shoulders;
The pathway forward seemingly a minefield of boulders.
His body a fluid harmonious machine with sprightly gait;
A thin smile on his lips, and for no man did he ever wait.
Whether happiness or sorrow, whether misery or glee;
He stoically accepted his destiny as if offered for free.
Her performed his duties and promises with extra care;
He worked himself tirelessly to exhaustion without spare.
Neither his pleasure or pain seemed to make any dent;
He assumed an attitude of serene detachment as he went.
He kept no kindness to himself, always willing to extend;
He could not bring himself to lie nor could he pretend.
They say angels walk among us to serve as a lasting cure;
If you meet one in person, do take notice, that’s for sure.
