Wait and See
By John Herlihy
Who can say I wasn’t alive before I was born,
A soul in the mind of God, from eternity torn.
What is eternity after all if measured by time,
And not eternal moments considered sublime?
Think about it, does time always have its way?
Doesn’t the endless flow of eternity have its say?
And if so, what about my soul once it was born?
Did I already exist in eternity waiting to be born?
Why do I have this feeling of eternity within me?
Why this persistent idea clear for the eye to see?
A chipmunk lives but once, but also lives forever;
The soul of the idea will always live and die never.
We humans raise questions of who we may be;
Only God has the answer, we must wait and see.
Love ya!

Soul in us He has given freely for ready we must be!
Lady Mary Ann
There is no doubt that chipmunks have intelligence and even behavior, as a mammal that is similar to humans. To date we have not found out whether chipmunks think like us. In fact although we have taught animals to mimic our speech, we have not had any of them communicated with us either directly or across the chasm of life and death.
We can give to god everything we want to understand but can't. It's a nice way of getting it out of our cluttered minds and let god do it for us.
