The Divine Lens
By John Herlihy
Thru the Divine Lens I gaze,
To bring focus into the haze.
Held securely by my finger,
Visions sharpen and linger.
Into my memory I will sew,
Such insights never to let go.
Mystery of Spirit to conceive,
Threads of light in the weave.
Bees hovering over the flower,
God’s lens sees a divine bower.
A snail makes a rare spectacle,
The Eye sees a beloved miracle.
Footprints of birds in the snow,
Bird-prints a work of art in tow.
A cricket sounds night rhythms,
The Ear listens to sacred hymns.
The shadowy awning of a tree,
Recalls the blessing of eternity.
The human eye waits for more,
The Divine Lens opens the door.
Love ya!
