Every secret has its own appeal,

Every intrigue desires to reveal,

Every mystery hides a thing real.

The great mystery of wood

Not that it burns, but that it floats.

The great intrigue of the night

Not darkness but the glow of moonlight.

The great secret of silence

Never to be heard but we still listen.

The great wonder of snow

Not in its uniqueness but in its perfection.

The great beauty of the rose

Lies in the nose and not in the eye.

The great uplifting of music

Lost in the heart and not the mind.

The great symmetry of natural law

Lies in the mind and not in the facts.

The great enigma of suffering

Lies less in its scourge and more in its lesson.

The great mystery of sorrow

Lies less in what we have than what we miss.

The great mystery of happiness,

Lies less in earthly but rather divine bliss.

In every secret lies a breath of speculation,

In every intrigue lies an element of suggestion,

In every mystery lies a luminous revelation.
