- Beyond the Veil -

When I peek through the veil,

What do I see?

But all of the heavenly glories,

I never thought meant for me.

The world of physicality,

Somehow holds us behind,

On the wrong side of the veil,

Floating on the surface of the mind.

The signs of nature there to behold,

But we take no notice.

  The soul waits patiently to hold,

The rare beauty of the lotus.

When we see a beautiful flower,

We think it just a rose.

But all the perfumes in the bower,

Intoxicates the nose.

A simple tree stands there,

But take note of those outstretched arms.

Its attitude shows flair,

In our hearts we feel its magical charms.

The ocean betrays its many moods,

Anxious, angry, still.

At times it simply darkens and broods,

Giving our hearts a chill.

The sun brings more than warmth and light,

It signals the passage of day.

Dawn’s overture give us daily delight,

Until twilight fades away.

Let us not forget the glory of the seasons,

A message to the world they bring.

Each have their own lessons, their own reasons,

The signature of summer, fall, winter, spring.

Who is the fool who ignores,

The beauties, the mysteries of the creation.

The wise man never abhors,

All the unknown mysteries and their sheer elation.

In the vast depths of eternity,

I wait for my arrival.

The world of time has its moment,

Beyond the veil I find survival.
