-- Blindness of a Snowy Night--
By John Herlihy
In the blindness of the night I grope my way,
With very little hope and very little to say.
In the blindness of the dark I soon find my way,
A mystery revealed never seen during the day.
I wander blind in the blindness of the night;
The blinding snow makes for a glorious sight
I cannot see with my eyes awash in the light;
Light and dark take turns, neither feels right.
The dim light of an oil lamp shines, still burning;
The dim light in my heart glows, still yearning.
I could see nothing, but my ears still listening;
Pigeons cooing on a phone line still reflecting.
The blindness of a snowy night harbors a vision;
Reflected in the depths of soul with its mission.
Depths of night illuminated by shimmering snow;
Light to guide the blind to what it comes to know.
Once nameless, faceless roaming the dark of night;
The blindness of the night gives focus to my sight.
The eye of the dark creates blind visions to behold;
The eye of the soul makes way such visions to hold.

The eye of the dark creates blind visions to behold;
The eye of the soul makes way such visions to hold.
Well done.
Rebecca
by a word wizard.
Blindness of a snowy night,
bring on the blizzard.
"In the blindness of the night I grope my way,
With very little hope and very little to say."
And if that wasn't enought, you threw in this . . .
"The blindness of a snowy night harbors a vision;
Reflected in the depths of soul with its mission."
In other words you have penned an excellent piece of poetry.
Not within only those four lines, but they stand out to me.
