-- That Something We Have Lost --

John Herlihy

How to recover that something we have lost,

That something, so irretrievable, at great cost.

We do lose things all the time; it’s a sure thing,

Our hearts feel a lack that only love can bring.

And yet, that one thing needful, let us call it soul,

The final piece of a puzzle that will make us whole.

That something lost to humanity, balance in the Lord,

That one thing that offers breath of spirit, call it God.

We enter a rose garden, perfume surging in advance,

To explore esoteric dream divination when in a trance.

Examining a simple observation to arrive at a synthesis,

Or exploring our world of opposites by way of analysis.

The soul is finally fully unveiled in a manner profound,

The departing soul will leave the body in the ground.

For the sake of the soul, we freely give the body away,

Soaring free, into a new world, no further need to stay.

INDEED, MANY THINGS 'LOST' ARE FOR THE BEST, THOUGH WHEN THAT 'SOMETHING' IS FIRST LOST...THIS IS NOT FELT. IT TAKES TIME TO REALLY ACCEPT AND SEE THE BLESSING OF 'LOSING'. HOWEVER, WHEN WE ARE TRANSPORTED FROM THIS MORTAL EXISTENCE UNTO IMMORTALITY I DO BELIEVE THAT THE LOST WILL BE GRATIFYINGLY, INSTANTLY("...CHANGED IN AN INSTANT...") FELT... HALLELUJAH!!! GREAT WORK! THANKS FOR SHARING, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
