Why be a prisoner in a meager pond,

When the universal ocean lies in a realm beyond?

Why utter a prayer with open palms,

When within echo symphonies of psalms?

Why see only sadness thru a stream of tears,

When the spirit of love streams thru the spheres?

Why be enclosed in a worldly bubble,

When freedom lies within, free of all trouble?

Why seek to be just like all the rest,

When a promise will lead us among the blessed?

Why settle for the discordance of earthly noise,

When the soul harbors the peace that silence enjoys?

Why marvel at the splendor of the leaf to hold,

When all the mysteries of the forest there to behold?

Why live in shaded darkness of shadows,

When contentment lies in the light of rainbows?

Why search for less when you are entitled to more,

When in your hand lies the key to Heaven’s door?
