-- Vistas of Revelation --
John Herlihy
The night awash in a high tide of stars,
The crescent moon dwindling, yes dying.
Silence recreating its own kind of sound,
Safe inside the softness of folded wings.
Life seen in the prism of butterfly wings,
Dawn light awakens earth, nothing less.
The wind but breeze, soft touch, a caress,
The sky dark/bright, black/blue and silent.
Rolling hills like sleeping animals, graceful,
Such mysteries seen give feelings hopeful.
Eternity felt in moments of twilight hush,
Asking no questions, beauty answers lush.
All of nature touches me in ways intimate,
Opening vistas of revelation with no limit.
