I asked the night:

Why do you bring darkness?

The night answered:

So you can appreciate light.

What of the moon’s brightness?

So you can appreciate the night.

Why do the stars twinkle?

In earth breath, they seem slight.

The day is for those with eyes,

They see what should be seen.

In night’s darkness, we realize,

What the light can truly mean.

The night is for those with heart,

The view into outer space deep.

Twilight allows the day to depart,

In the midnight hour, angels weep.

i asked the night: Why disppear?

Night replied: So day may appear.

The darkness of night gives way,

To the luminosity of God’s day.
