-- All Things Lost and Found --

John Herlihy

We mourn the things that we have lost.

How could we ever live without them?

We mourn the things that we never lost.

How did we end up ever living with them?

We feel awe at the things we could have lost,

How we valued such things, held on to them.

We regret all the things we should have lost,

The added value to have had if we lost them.

In dread of all the things we fear we may lose,

How could we carry on if we didn’t have them?

Then all those things we found having lost them,

How grateful we were to have them back again.

The endless cycle of all things lost and found;

In slavery to all the things that we are bound.

LIFE AND IT'S COMINGS AND GOINGS...WHO HAS A PURE DEFINITION OF IT THAT 'FITS' ALL HUMANITY? IT'S DIFFERENT FOR EACH OF US. GREAT PROVOKER OF THOUGHTS HERE, FOR IT'S ONLY THE WORD OF GOD THAT COVERS ALL THINGS LOST AND FOUND FOR ME; '...FOR ALL THINGS WORKS TOGETHER FOR GOOD FOR THEM THAT LOVE GOD...' AMEN. ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

I got lost somewhere in reading this, but not to fear. I lost most of my junk long ago, and can't remember what they were,

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
