Goodbye beautiful world,

As all of nature’s artifacts are furled.

Goodbye to the dawn,

Softly announcing the coming of the morn.

Goodbye blue sky,

That always had me asking why.

Goodbye to twilight,

That heralds the coming of the night.

Goodbye the night’s darkness

As the world awakens to usher in day’s brightness.

Goodbye silver moon,

That brought enchantment into my bedroom.

Goodbye purple lilac flowers,

That filled with perfume those summer hours.

Goodbye summer’s red rose,

That entered my heart in peaceful repose.

Goodbye yellow daffodils,

I reluctantly take leave of your thrills.

Goodbye dark night,

Speckled with moonbeams and starlight.

Hello beautiful world,

As all of nature’s artifacts lay again unfurled.
