-- Making Up for Lost Time --

John Herlihy

Some want to make up for lost time;

Time squandered, his, hers, and mine.

How do we plan to resurrect time lost;

To recapture winter lace in melted frost.

We seem to forget time has its moment,

Here then gone, no time for atonement.

Summer never frets of winter discontent;

Winter has no idea what summer meant.

We can learn to make better use of time,

Lest time turns into moments of decline.

Time wasted can never be fully retrieved;

Time well utilized always fully conceived.

Time squandered compromises the hour;

Value each moment as a priceless flower.

AGREED. MANY VALUABLE EXPERIENCES AND GIFTS CAN BE LOST WITHIN THE TUNNEL OF... WASTED TIME. SOMETIMES WE CANNOT COMPENSATE FOR THAT WHICH WE HAVE MISSED, LOST. BUT THEN...'DESTINED FATE', YOU KNOW? I LOVED THIS ONE, THANK YOU, JOHN. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Pasts do their thing turning us into the people we are today. I try not to look in the rearview mirror as I won't see where I am going. I believe I'll take a walk in the woods today to see what wildflowers are blooming.

Love ya!

Wise words. What's past has passed. Better to learn from the past and prepare to do better in the future. It can always get better.
