-- Double Rainbow –

A double rainbow is never an ordinary sight,

This unleashing into the heavens of divine might.

One by one each of the rainbows takes colorful shape,

Painted from the heavenly palette, such beauty to create.

I stare at the misty spectrums of color the glow to capture,

Knowing I could seize the moment and enjoy such rapture.

An untimely event with such a sacred mystery to convey,

Soon enough to disappear, how to make this miracle stay.

Not one but two miracles as if struck by magic wand,

Two pathways of promise leading far into the beyond.

Fresh clouds have gathered, the rainbows disappeared,

The joy in my expanded heart now suddenly speared.

Two rainbows last but a moment, just once in a lifetime,

But when they do, ah when they do, such feeling sublime.
