-- NOTHING EVER ENDING – John Herlihy Nothing ever ending, baby, Nothing ever truly ending. When the end does come, A brave new beginning spun. Nothing ever ending, baby, Nothing ever truly ending. When war finally does cease, Born again an era of peace. Nothing ever ending, baby, Nothing ever truly ending. An end to everything old, Source of everything new. Nothing ever ending, baby, Nothing ever truly ending. A thing ends, another begins, The world’s circle ever spins. Do not fear the end, baby, Do not ever fear the end. End marks a new beginning, Edge holds new life brimming. Do not think of the end, baby, Do not ever think of the end. As twilight dies, night is born, Night ends in first light of dawn. Live not in sight of the end, baby, Never live in sight of the end. Time’s swift arrow forever flies, Soaring freely under earth’s skies. Speak not of the end, baby, Never give voice to the end. Beginning and end a slogan enjoin, They two halves of the same coin. Imagine not the end, baby, Never even imagine the end. I prefer not to focus on the ends of things but on how I evolve from them. Beginnings are much more productive and encouraging for that's when things are new and much more possible.

I like the the sentiment in this poem. It is finite with no ending, leaving us to enjoy the now. Well done

For most, their DNA never ends because it's found in their babies. But species go extinct and, unless some kind of godlike scientist can bring them back, they are gone for good. In the case of the earth, is fortunate that the large dinosaurs all died out, and the little ones like birds and turtles survived. Along with little mammals that eventually became us.

As we both share similar philosophies regarding ends and beginnings, this was a timely and poignant piece of word-finding as both personal and public ends seem to dominate thinking today. It's sad that so many focus on ends and just that... ends. I have learned through experience that the choice to see "end" as final is only hampering one's growth and learning experience. The only end that seems somewhat final is death, but then, as we both believe, we are merely sliding gracefully into the next itinerary of existence. Peace.
