A lovely message of love. Uncharacteristic of your poetry but enjoyed, nonetheless. I like this new turn of events. But I notice that it was written back in 2021.
A mysterious (middlingly antithetic) message. Who is the writer talking about. God? A new grandchild? A lover? I can't see Philautia in this. Thanks for sharing. Peace.... r
Very interesting to interpret this as both companion love or self-love. There is truly an arresting quality to it to think self-love, given so much of our thinking of love is without, ignoring the survival need to love oneself. As we get older, we realize without self-love, loneliness is easily ushered in. And, when all is said and done, as rewarding as loving another is, there is much to say for the courage to have a healthy love for oneself, given so much narcissism corrupts such effort.
