-- Death Never Looks Past Time -- By John Herlihy Death never looks past time, Time never looks past death. Time with its eternal rhyme, Closing God’s circle of truth. Time forever short-sighted, In journey around the circle. Eternity forever long-sighted, Making possible time’s miracle. Time forever marches backward, Its footsteps leading into the past. Eternity always marches forward, Into a future that will forever last. BOTH TIME AND DEATH IS CONTROLLED BY GOD AND IN OUR ETERNAL EXISTENCE...IMMORTALITY...TIME AND DEATH WILL NOT EXIST. SO IT IS, INDEED YOU ARE RIGHT, BECAUSE WITH DEATH...TIME AND DEATH STOPS. An interesting insight, John. As I see it: He who lays up treasures on earth spends his life backing away from his treasures. To him, death is loss. He who lays up treasures in heaven, looks forward to eternity, because he is moving daily toward his treasures. To him, death is gain. He who spends his life moving toward his treasures has reason to rejoice. So, we who are destined to die, need not be careful to inquire what death we are to die, but into what place death will usher us. Peace.... rlc
