Awareness rising,

From nothingness torn.

Consciousness abiding,

In this world I am born.

I will not awake,

Until I am awoken.

Do not me break,

Heal me when broken.

Remember me,

When I am forgotten.

Forget me,

Then withered, rotten.

If you lose me,

Will I be missed?

If you choose me,

I will be blessed.

Do not me forsake,

May I never be forsaken.

I am for you to take,

You are my eternal token.

If you touch me,

I will be caressed.

If you guide me,

I will be blessed.

If you hate me,

Then I will die.

If you love me,

On You I rely.

Speak to me,

And I will listen.

Sing to me,

My soul will glisten.

When suffering grief,

Lost in my misery.

Only in you, relief,

The lure of your mystery.

When I lay down,

In your absence, I weep.

Silence then my sound,

Your presence to greet.
