Waiting for Nothing By John Herlihy (Monday 19/2/18) He waited for nothing, And nothing arrived. What nothing offered, Helped me to survive. But how is it possible, Nothing can do so much. It seemed impossible, Nothing would ever touch. From nothing a desire, Emerged only to inspire. Emptied of life’s illusion, Brought joy in profusion. Room for a final desire, Nothing burned as fire.

WHAT A PERFECT MATCH! THE PHOTO AND YOUR PHRASES GO HAND IN HAND. THE OLD GUY SEEMS SO DEEP IN THOUGHT...PERHAPS REFLECTING ON HOW THINGS USED TO BE AND WHO USED TO BE IN HIS LIFE. IN ANY CASE...HE IS DEFINITELY NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING AND IT DOES LOOK LIKE HE REALLY IS...WAITING FOR NOTHING. "BUT HOW IS IT POSSIBLE, NOTHING CAN DO SO MUCH". ENJOYED, THANKS, JOHN.
