Some things in this world seem to be too much,

Overdone, unnecessary, that serve as a crutch.

Such as, too much money and too much noise,

Too much suffering that snuffs out our little joys.

Too much sun or too much rain, heat and cold,

Excessive guilt or endless years that make us old.

Prosperity can be a good thing to have to a point;

A budding tide has come in as Heaven will anoint.

Some people will say there can never be too much;

There can never be enough money or fame as such.

Others with empty coffers are just waiting for more;

They will desire from the haves the key to their store.

Rest assured a balance is needed amid all the rush;

In the end, some things in our world just too much.

Some things in this world of ours seem not enough,

Vital and necessary, that also can serve as a crutch.

Such as not enough beauty and not enough silence,

Not enough stability to serve us as a form of reliance.

Not enough light to fill the spooky shadows of a room,

Not enough night to service the stars and the moon.

Poverty can be a good thing to serve as motivation;

Things like denial or fasting can be part of devotion.

Some people will say there can never be not enough;

There could never be not enough of all the right stuff.

Others with full coffers wish to give away all their plenty;

In order to fill sad hearts of the world broken and empty.

Rest assured a balance is needed as lives can be rough;

In the end, some things in our world are just not enough.

To those greedy, beware never not enough of too much;

To the needy, beware of never too much of not enough.
