Lies the light of angels
Light and darkness
Interweave as day and night
In the day a silhouette
In the night, moonlight
Light of the sun
Darkness of the night
Darkness upon darkness
Light upon light
Inner darkness misery
Inner light beauty
Inner darkness mystery
Inner light infinity
In darkness – death
In light -- life
In darkness – stars
In light – shadows
Darkness without light
The heart of nothing
Light without darkness
The heart of everything

Unfortunately, for those exposed to the sun a great deal, the hard-working people of this world, darkness of skin as a protection from the sun's exposure has been looked down upon in a way that is seemingly anchored in our thought process. The idea that light is good and dark is bad, making those with light skin preferred over those with dark skin. I hope I see the day when all people, regardless of their skin color, are considered equal by as Martin Luther King put it, "by the color of their character."
