-- The Book of Fate -- by John Herlihy Dear God, that one might read the book of fate And witness the realities of the times we live in The realities of the times make mountains level The continents of earth weary of their firmness Such solid firmness that soon melts into the sea We as butterflies in the richness of earth’s garden In search of life nectar in the passing of the hour Time but an envelope in the vastness of eternity Our minds form questions regarding the mystery We wander and get lost, then we stumble and fall Who can account for the many ways of the world Leading us to places that we could never imagine A life story we write ourselves and haltingly tell Silence returns at the sounding of the death knell - - - - - Copyright © John Herlihy Thursday 18 July 2024

OUR FATE...WAS SEEN BY GOD EVEN BEFORE OUR FIRST BREATH. HE KNOWS ALL ABOUT US AND OUR LIVES ARE IN HIS HAND. IT ALL BEGINS WITH A SINCERE PRAYER...BY WHICH WE BARE OURSELVES BEFORE, HOLDING NOTHING BACK AS WE BEG HIM FOR GUIDANCE AND DIRECTION. HE WHO ALREADY SEES AND KNOWS US...INSIDE AND OUT RESPONDS WITH A LOVE LIKE WE HAVE NEVER KNOWN AS HE LEADS US IN A CLOSER WALK WITH HIM. THANK YOU FOR SHARING, JOHN.
