Winding myself through these lines three times to land on the 11, 12, 13 & 14th floors….”a sense of faithfulness/knowing never won’t happen/a sense of peacefulness/knowing never will happen” — I like how punctuation is not present and gives the feeling of going down that spiral staircase. A nice departure from your usual scheme that I really like working on the word never, knowing that is never like you think it should be. Very interesting and provocative. Love it.
Great word play. Never won't happen, and knowing never will happen. Your poem begs the contemplation the now and the tomorrows that contain the essece of what can and what can't become a reality or a fantasy. You picked a word that opens up a conversation and helps position one's belief system. Thanks for posting.
