Totally alone // never alone

Meer bone // safely home

No one with me // you ever with me

Alone in a crowd // alone, without a crowd

No one before me // only you before me

No one after me // only you after me

A valley of shadows // a valley of meadows

To live in fear // to hold thoughts dear

Each sorrow a burden // every gift a blessing

Loneliness in solitude // solitude in loneliness

Not anywhere to go // no need to go anywhere

At home in despair // at home without a care

Not a voice that cares // a voice hears my prayer

As if disappearing in mist // appearing as if blest

Ever alone, no one with you // never alone, He is with you
