Morning Light

by John Herlihy

There's something about morning light,

Filling the essence of the day

Expelling all the darkness of the night

Virgin light with volumes to say

Dawn light sent forth as a breath

Into the fading night to blow,

The emerging day at its birth,

Pulling the rest of the day in tow

Dawn as overture to the sunrise itself,

The sun pours forth its light as cream

Gathering together its forces as wealth

Shining on trees and grass its light beam

Half the earth bespeckled with dewy light,

As dawn birds of the morning take flight.

JOHN, THIS IS SUCH A MARVELOUS SHARING! IT IS FOR ME 'A METAPHOR'. I AM REMINDED OF 'HE', THE 'SON'... WHO IS OUR BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR! THUS, EACH STANZA IS DESCRIBING 'HIM' AND WHAT 'HE' DOES FOR EVERY SOUL. SO ENJOYED THIS KEEPER! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS.

Back with the synergy... just posted an early light idea as well. I particulary like the way you brought the light via overture for the day. As always, you leave us with images and ideas to ponder and learn from. Thank you for posting this beautiful piece.

Very apropos because the birds have returned from their winter migration. I'm waking up each morning to birdsong as the day begins again.

The morning sun always seems better after a good night's sleep. Making the body want to get out and see what's happening as the birds and the little creatures who have been sleeping get to work on their daily activities.

With sunset, a peaceful time of day to relax in and enjoy.

Ron
