Yet another disastrous leak
Yet one more, huge oil spill
As we still lust for black gold
Making our oceans, so very ill
Over 5,000 barrels a day, spewing
Yet, politicians proclaim, ‘It’s Safe’
Of course, it will be nature, that suffers
For we humans, why it’s just another day
As most of us rush off, in our gas guzzlers
The whales are being coated in oil, right now
With all of our technology, we can’t contain it
“But we’ll get this under control, soon, somehow!”
Our Gulf Waters have already been hideously polluted
Now, this oil slick heads for wildlife refuges, on the shore
While we fight this oil spill, many yell, “Let’s Drill the Arctic!”
("And Florida! And California! And, Hey! The Rockies!")
We will continue to destroy our planet, until it harbors life, no more
I sadly wonder, how many billions of dollars this cleanup, will cost;
And in the end, it will once again, for Earth’s wildlife, be a tragic loss.

MAY 3RD is the DEADLINE for PUBLIC COMMENT on OffShore Oil Drilling. And this is something that everyone can comment on. On can't imagine any "sane" person being for it now when they constantly lie as to how safe and ecologically harmonious it is.
And my next car is a HYBRID and for the person who said that they use electricity, that is NONSENSE. The batteries are recharged by the motion generator of the car! There is no plug in and recharging. AND they use A HECK OF LOT LESS GAS!!
Spread the word, I don't have any fans worth a toot around here anymore...

As for automobiles we are asked to used hybrid cars, just plug it in and juice it up with electricity. How long will that last with "Cap and Trade" being thrown about through Congress today? And the electric companies are using WHAT to generate power to every community???
This oil slick in the Gulf is a travesty, but I am not surprised because look how well Nuke power is working? We still are not sure how to contain it (another accident waiting to happen) and we bury the waste underground because we do not know what to do with it. Maybe it is not the products we use, but how it is used and researching the pros and cons before going forward might be a good idea.
When the oil rig exploded, lives were lost, human and animal and now it is the sea creatures who are paying the price. Research and common sense needs to come first so no one has to pay the ultimate price for the sake of the "Almighty Dollar".

As I have written before - Man - Mankind - is probably the Worst damned virus that this Earth has ever seen, or experienced.
We, as a species, cause most of the 'problems' due to our own over-population. IT will invariably be the cause of our own demise - just like many 'Lost Civilizations.'
Only then - will Mother Earth begin to heal her wounds, and lick her scars, and Green will promulgate once more!
Just like the theory of the power of Anti-Matter - Man is - Anti-Earth!
