Poem Artwork

When nights are long and lives are torn, when sadness comes to stay,

When hearts are harmed from things gone wrong and darkness rules the way,

Pretend the stars are fireflies you’ve caught in a jar to keep

And release them in night visions as you dream yourself to sleep.

Every star’s a happy moment someone’s written in the sky,

A memory for eternity of pleasure now gone by.

And when your life feels empty and lonely makes its scar

Just close your eyes in dreamland and visit on a star.

I trust the stars to guide me as their messages I read.

With my mystic wand of fantasy, I follow where they lead.

I wish upon their brightness; I believe in their light.

And I create magic changes until the world seems right!

My dearest Lonny... to say that you've absorbed me with this would be nothing but words, trying to express a depth contained only within the heart... I didn't just love this poem, I needed it! Therefore, I dub you "Superhero of the Heart"... We are so alike in so many lovely ways... thank god you write! sigh..... katy xox.
