Missing something in life

Poem Artwork

She lives her life at breakneck speed

What is it that this lady needs?

I think not fortune, I think not fame

Nor to glorify her name

Something churning deep within

Coming alive again and again

Appointments here, obligations there

Where will she be next, where oh where

As I observe her throughout the day

I think I might, I think I may

Recognize that she is me

And is not where she wants to be

But as I watch I think I know

The pathway that she needs to go

She's looking for a special friend

One to whom her soul she can lend

One she can love, meet in the middle

And who'll help figure out this life, this riddle

Well I was sure I'd "found" her even though she started the whole thing. I believed all she told me and I was in it for the long haul. Then, she vanished. I know what you are "talking about," Lark. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,

Regis

You weigh your words well. Just remember, love comes from the inside out, not from the outside in... If you take the time to love/appreciate all that you are, you will find that others will notice the glow. M.True

Stay away from lawyers and politicians. Also pirates, poets, pawns, and kings. Writers? Take away their spell checker and they're nothing. Now, if you want to know where the last of the red hot lovers hang out...well, I'm not talking!

Lark, We all go through that, some of us many times...
you will find that person or they will find you!

Always,

I don't think the riddle that's life can ever be totally explained, though the Buddhists call it Enlightenment but it can take many lifetimes to achieve it...e

Yes, we can waste our lives in tedious routine, filling every moment, or breakout and discover new horizons. One never knows where that lover will appear… maybe near.

Love the cadence and rhyme and the forlorn helplessness of the lady involved.

Loved this . . . Very fast moving poem, nice rhyming and above all something was worked out that will certainly benefit the writer. That friend is out there. Yes.

She Intrigues Me, Revelations Of Love by Jon Willey

If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
