Surrounded by a sea of fire,
Despair rising in the heat of fury;
Shame and desperation swooshing like waves on the ocean.
Rising and falling with a vengeance;
Crashing with a destructive motion;
Fierce and enormous,
Caved into a calamity of danger
Fear of loss and pain,
The ashes of defeat and the death of desires;
Shocking, heart wrenching images
Flaring in dismay;
All until beliefs transform into a clear expectation.
All until the image of water, pure and divine rescues.
All until the realization that the fire can be dispelled by the
Drenching cure of the chilling flows of a reigning splash;
A splash that devours the very flame that had you;
The spring that opens a whole new perspective;
That which entered in and freely flowed;
Flowed with an unwitting fervor;
Freeing you from the flames
That only came with belief;
Belief that rescued you.
