Skin becomes crepe Inclined to wrinkle Too soft and too loose Falls into a crinkle Texture’s so dull Lifeless and drab Ill-fitting, exhausted Well-worn, gone to flab Spirit of youth’s Dreams brushed aside Bare-faced home truths No-where to hide No comfort or kindness From mirror’s scathing view Cold hearted likeness Reveals a stranger, not you.
