Fable flies a tainted flag
A cloth of red to wave...distract
Drama seeks to draw a lure
Divert the hordes away from fact.
An over-acting, petty muse
to dance in lights, attract the gaze.
Look here - see this...not there - nor that,
Ignore the main event's displays.

Puppets (paid a princely sum)
Fulfil their 'owners' obligate
to storm and rage with discontent,
While viewers gasp and remonstrate,
unaware that all the while,
another tale unfolds its moods
from safely darkened center stage,
Concealed by faux fracas' and feuds...

which seek to guard, suppress, enrobe,
to shield; away from public eye.
To entertain - Form public view
To mold the minds, prevent decry.
'Behold, this bright and sparkly thing,
with which to dazzle, bait, entice...
See how they're chased, each time they're placed;
these baubles, as a sacrifice...'
