Amber – Blue - Brown – Green - Grey – Hazel
By Handsum-Hart
The lovely lady
Asked the poetic gentleman
“What does a man see
When he looks into the eyes of a woman”
To which he said
Her eyes of amber
Soft with ancient beauty
Like two droplets of pine tree resin
Slowly turned by the hands of time
Into gorgeous amber gemstones;
Perfect for a pretty princess
Her eyes of blue
On fire with burning beauty
Like the rare population of blue stars
In the galaxy of Andromeda
That wowed astronomers worldwide
With their hot, bright, beautiful blueness
Her eyes of brown
Overflowing with intoxicating beauty
Like the brown crystals
From the creek waters of western Australia
That are used to make
Cognac diamond engagement rings
Her eyes of green
Holders of Mother Nature’s flawless beauty
Like the snow-capped mountain top of Yushan
Shining over the island of Taiwan
Like a stainless jade
With flaws of none
Her eyes of grey
Aglow at mid-of-night with the light of romance
Like the lunar shine from the surface of the moon
That provides the night lighting
For the waves of the Indian Ocean
To romantically kiss the shorelines of Kenya
Her eyes of hazel
Changers of beautiful colors
Like the leaves of autumn
On the scarlet oak trees
In the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee
Changing colors with the personality of the sun
