Vicky's 1st poem. Please leave her a comment so we can encourage her to write again. xo
My heart shattered into pieces
microscopic pieces. pieces so small
they cant even be seen to the naked eye.
My heart on empty. So empty it cant
possibly ever be full.so empty yet
heavy like marble and dark like burnt
black coffee at 2am.
My tears flowing. Overflowing like to
much rain in a gutter mid October.
Tears pouring down my cheeks as I lay
here.
My mind dazed yet relentless. Clear yet
cloudy.
My mind always goes back to you.
Fatigue weighs heavy and as my eyes
get smaller I hear your voice. your voice
so clear so real so present. I miss you.
all of you all the time. Right before I slip
into a sad yet numb state I smile and am
at ease. The soulful whisper of loves promise.

INDEED, WITH PHRASES FORMING VIVID IMAGES, THE PAIN OF SEPARATION'S 'PIERCING'...WHETHER IN DEATH OR MILES...IS SO EVIDENT. A FINE WORK, SO WELL DONE. THANK YOU VICKY FOR THIS SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
Lot's of heart and soul is packed into this poetic song. I am a hopeless romantic, I can read her poems all day long. Keep on writing a little bit everyday and it will ONLY get BETTER!
A poem expressing the great loss of a young love spurned. A good way to externalize what someone is feeling inside, although hurtful for the reader, not knowing whether the person thought to be loved was really an abuser. But that is not clear from the poem.
I prefer poems that are joyful and outgoing rather than internal and introspective. But they may be good therapy for now. Looking forward to brighter poems from you in the future, Vicky.
This is a Wow poem, the pictures so clearly speak of the pain of missing someone with all of your heart. The images are stunning in their clarity. The ending relieves the pain and changes into anticipation.
One thing I would like to have is more time to read poetry on Authors Den. This one is a winner.
A heart broken into 'microscopic pieces' is something I can relate to from my teens. The hopefulness in the last line resolves the piece nicely. Good imagery. Keep writing. r
