A true story about a time of my life when I had much to be thankful for, and so I celebrated with those I love, xo
It was my twentyfifth wedding anniversary, I wanted to look beautiful
after twenty five years of wedding bliss two kids and a life of plentiful
I wanted to give thanks to God for bringing me a man whos love goal
was to adore me in wholeness, individuality, and passionate affection;
At the age of forty four I was in the prime of my life working and living
I loved life with all my heart and God was the center point of my loving
then suddenly without notice I found a lump in my breast and I froze
everything paced in slow motion as I waited for test results to return
In the meantime I had a party to attend to so I wrote out the guest list
and went to buy the most beautiful dress, and a corsage for my wrist
the dress was made of taffeta, thin strapped and wide in princess style
all the while I waited by the phone for that call that would say your fine
Time became of essence as I waited for an answer to my health issue
I asked God to spare my life for sake of my kids, as I cried in a tissue
The phone call arrived and the sun returned in my life, "it was benign"
I extoled life in a banquet hall surround by family as I danced all night
in my beautiful blue taffeta, giving thanks for my life to God above,
No matter what happens in life I now know, I'll always need His LOVE*

'Benign' in this instance is the best kind of adjective. And it's true, our lives are in the Creator's hands. It amazes me Vie, and scares me too, (in a reverential way) that God wants us to communicate. We have instant, direct access to Him. A story here with a happy ending. I like those kinds.
