Reads like a dream experience. Many of those come and go without letting us know, "from hence they come." That would make a great opening to a TV show in a deep baritone voice with much authority. Hair would stand up on the viewers' necks as a chill would remind them to try to be ready for what was coming. Coming. Coming. (Fade to black)

The always illusive smoke is penned here as symbol of one of air's many disguises, but always, if we think about it, that which we can't live without... unless, of course, that's cigar or cigarette residue. That... wherever it comes from, is dispensable.
