Changing the world,
Is it within our grasp,
We talk alot about same,
Most of it just being so lame...

Sentiments…

We all sometimes write so alike,

Concerns stated, sometimes brought about strike,

We all seem to occasionally think so much,

Herein we feel we are philosophers and such,

But in reality we are so much more, we clutch,

At straws within our lives, we send them,

To our mind and quietly strive,

To be the best, the worse, the happiest,

We do so do our best to drive,

Ourselves to the happy side,

Of life, of course without strife…

As a sentient sentinel I have herein come,

To hazard a guess with regards world peace,

We endeavor, as we will to achieve this lofty honor,

As we do though, we find our achievement to be so much fodder,

World peace, oh yes surely, will occur sometime in the future,

Not in our time, maybe, but we will observe from our overlook so high…

The way of the world will change, becoming more strange,

Prior to the way of peace, so much is within our range,

But can we truly expect, this change to occur within our lifespan?

I would like to think so, as I know you would also,

To see a benefit come from our lackluster power…

I am here to say to you, we can help to see the world through,

To a better time, a more happy and pleasant time so true ,

Will take many lives, to find this pleasurable world,

I hereby do with all good intent & sentiment, do herald…

Wonderful sentiments, Ed, but I doubt it will happen in our life times. Some scientists now believe that mankind has already been wiped out twice - first in the Ice Age, and then in the Great Flood. Maybe the third time - will be the charm; and humans can start over again - the right way.

I guess it's kind of life the domino theory (maybe?).Yes, it might take several lifetimes to fix this huge mess Man has made, but it can be done. It just takes people who CARE and who are willing to TRY to do something about it.

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
