Wizard of Weird asks where his writes do come from...?

Poem Artwork

WRITE, DO I, WEIRD…

Sometimes I do write kinda weird,

What the hell do I mean sometimes?

Most of the time I do write weird,

One write can be of a humorous nature,

The next downright dark in stature,

The next all about the ocean or in general, Nature…

Where do you suppose all these words do come from?

Are they manufactured in the brain of the writer?

If so they are built on a grand scale for some,

For me they seem constructed, from a back alley they do come…

Is everyone in the world able to write, if given the chance?

Glad I am that I was given the chance by a certain couple,

Two folks I do love and find to be quite supple,

So herein again I do write weird, more personal philosophy,

Less Rufuz and humor and fun as it were, will try not to be soapy…

But tomorrow may bring, a whole new attitude, a whole new thing,

I rhyme in one sentence, I climb the ladders rungs & of writers I sing,

From the rooftop of my camper, my world does think I am no king,

Passed over for brains, when first I stood in line,

Heard this before but I must have gotten something more strange,

Therein is the reason I do write with such a passion for the weird,

Herein I must end this poem, if that is what it is,

Get myself together for work, must I go, and trim my beard…

Leave the beard alone, munchkin! As for the words? They can all be found (most, anyway) in the dictionary... it's how we use them, where we place them, our matching them up.. Aha.. that's what makes the difference. Write on, Eddie M... (put down that scissors!!) grin... katy xox.

No don't trim the beard
or else you may see something weird.

When God gave me brains, I thought he said drains
so I asked for mine to be empty.

Keep on keeping on.
You writes are delights..

All can write, but not all can produce gems. When you have done your mind, spiritual or nature writes I have seen gems.

Ed, there is nothing wrong with that. I've found some of my greatest treasures - in back alleys. And some great literature has been inspired by writers who lived in big cities, and traversed their dark gloomy back alleys - always on the prowl for a weird, mesmerizing tale.

Write on!
