Covering, Kicking, Kissing or Trying…

Life is short, or so we tell our cohorts,

It passes by, during which we try to tell no lies,

We make it as fun as we can, without making a pun,

We try to pass it off; we try not too very much scoff…

Covering our butts, we do this quite very much,

Kicking someone’s ass, we try not to take sass,

Kissing that same ass, might be better to kiss a bass,

Trying to get some ass, we try oh so hard, but sometimes must pass…

So throughout life’s little hurts, we find in ourselves a power to flirt,

We try to forgo and forget, but we end up to therein regret,

Whatever it is we have done in the past, we find an inevitable threat,

Wish I could herein see my own very dark silhouette…
