She found my Jeep tire to be warm, till the engine cooled, and she started to cry...

A Kitten Liked My Car… She must have climbed up over night, I heard her cries when I went out in the light, She must have found the car to be a warm delight, Having just shut the engine off the before night… She was friendly enough, but my allergies said no, Rufuz too was against a new little sister, so, Off to the humane society was this little girl, To find a new home, her name became Pearl… She was just alley cat looking, but a pearl in my life, If I had a house, a place where she could live, She would have stayed, become Ruffie’s little sister, He would have lived with her in time; he just sniffed at her, After that he didn’t care, just leave my food alone, And no more will I give you any problems, no strife… © ed & Rufuz 7/14/04

I'm so glad you didn't run over her. Some kittens climb up in the engine of our car once to keep warm. Some of the poor babies were caught in the fan belt and were killed when my husband started the car. It was awful.

i love kittens but can't live with them, the allergies won't allow either but i am so glad you took her to somewhere that she might find a home instead of a car tire mid road somewhere

You have a splendid heart, my friend. So glad you took Pearl to the Humane Society.

I just read about a poor little critter that wasn't so lucky. The owner of the vehicle heard it crying, and cranked up the old engine anyway. The kitten lives, but is paralyzed now, and has been taken in by Best Friends Animal Shelter.
