These two friend and their offspring certainly had a rough summer, if you will all just keep them in your prayers, I know they would appreciate it, thanks...ed

Poem Artwork

Greg & Mary…

Sometimes relationship hairy,

Neither two are ever contrary,

Two boys in their normal early teens,

Doing their own thing, going to their own scenes…

Their house did burn down in the spring,

You can just imagine the problems this summer did bring,

Moved into a house, with only the clothes on their backs,

Away on vacation they were, fortunately they did survive,

Don’t know what I would have done if these friends were not alive…

Building a new home quite soon, with a resemblance to the old,

So much more comfortable it will be, a new home to behold,

Rather than where they are now living, this new home will be made of gold,

Look forward they do to moving into their new home,

They are so tired of living somewhere else, feels for them as if they do roam…

They made it through this summer sometimes ill at ease,

Many problems they had with decisions regards the new home,

Many times they did have fights, yes they definitely did disagree,

But with a strength of love, and a belief in God they did try to appease,

Each other did learn more about their lover, in varying degrees…

Life for now looks rosier, if only their eldest would not run into posts,

Must have been if nothing else the houses ghosts,

Fortunately for him, his dad did not stuff him in the oven on roasts…

Not one door closes for people like them. The door now is wide open and abundant with new beginnings. They are in my prayers. Your poem is well placed now...in their hearts and the readers here at the Den.

Ed, this is such a wonderful well-penned poetic gesture dedicated to your friends, which clearly illustrates not only your poetic abilities and loyalty, but also what any loving couple could go through when unfortunately their home burns down. Thank goodness they survived. Thank you for sharing your talent my gifted friend. I will keep them in my prayers. Take care and be well. Peace thru loyal friendship.
