Stuck in a hole, swallowed whole...

Poem Artwork

Swallowed Whole by Life…

I find myself in a hole,

Wrapped in a hoagie roll,

Surrounded by trolls,

That I must have stole…

Deep though I may be,

I can see the light above,

I cannot reach it even if I climb,

Each poem another step, trying like hell herein to rhyme…

Life seems to have swallowed me whole,

The least it could have done is left me with a bowl,

My life it does seem is out of control,

At least I do have a mate attached to my soul…

I maybe deep in a hole most of the time,

But that light at the top of my whole,

Is there all of the time,

I can exit my hole when I find I am kind,

Better here than buried & covered in lime…

The whole of this hole cannot hold you for long...
Soon, you'll be back, filled with humor and song.

I realize, Ed, me sweet, that sometimes, when we're really down, we'd like to slap the next person who offers a positive thought... BUT... having said that... I can't prove it, but I have found in life, for myself, that when the lights go out and it seems hopeless, something positive always comes of it. Time and time again, when I thought it couldn't get any worse, a flickering light came on and I was glad it didn't go the way I thought I wanted it to go. It's a combination of choices and attitude. Keep the light shining... it's the only way to find the path. katy xox.

At least I do have a mate attached to my soul…

That's something very worth having, my friend, and something many truly wish they had. Consider yourself very lucky.

And I'll have my pigeons fly over and drop you a rope, and some other gifts.

Enlightenment Dialogues: A Journey of Post-metaphysical Onliness Awake by Martin Treon

This combined narrative dialogue and play is about the uncreated, unborn and undying transcendent Self of God-consciousness and Buddha-nature. It describes an odyssey of transcendent Consciousness Awakening and Remembrance.

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
