I will not apologize for this to anyone, as this is where this country is heading, take it in anyway you want, but when it does happen, don't put the blame on those that warned of its coming...ed

NAZI AMERICA… Nazi Germany we are not, Nazi America we are heading towards a lot, They do tell us what to think, what to read, They do tell us who to like, when to bleed… To be honest, I have been one of those that put my head in a hole, Feeling that as long as I have what I need, food in my bowl, Then let what goes on outside of my life happen, that was my goal, But of late, I find myself being drawn into politics and the like, I must do this for myself and for my life in general, Otherwise I would feel I would not have a soul… As a kid I knew more about the Nazi’s than most, I read a lot about them and was a great history buff, It made me feel “powerful”, I know now it was not power but a bluff, I saluted the Nazi flag with hand held high, I was a child worshipping that kind of stuff, I needed to be in control of something; a lot I did so off the cuff… Now that I am older and supposedly wiser, I see our nation, our freedoms being taken, No, our leaders are not named Hitler, Himmler or Goering, Instead we have others that shall remain nameless, We all know their names, unfortunately I do confess… This diatribe is becoming more than what I wanted, It was only meant to tell you all of my feelings, I did not want anyone to feel confronted, I hope you do not mind my opinions herein stated, We are still a nation of free thinking and speaking, (so far) I am just so tired and frightened with this countries of late, dealings… © ed ~ 11/13/04

Dear Ed,
You have so many facets to your extraordinary nature and you've just revealed another. Far from feeling 'confronted' I could commiserate. As much as I might live on the other end of the earth and see a whole host of different challenges, I am well aware of world politics. I don't often share my views because this is one topic that causes people to behave irrationally. How I wish that we could work out our differences diplomatically and live in peace but I know that I am being idealistic.

I think it is great that you had a good old rant. Do you feel better?

Well Ed I can't say you are wrong. Yes we are being told what to say and more and more those that have the faith are being shouted down and made fun of. Politically correct reckon I will always be in error. I find you more honest than those who hide behind the cloak of being a superior intellectual.

I don't know where all the fear is coming from, but I will pray that you find peace within Ed. This world is in chaos jsut as the bible predicted it would be and everyone seems to be acting just as it's been prophesied. I wish you all the best, your honesty is refreshing!

we are not free, not if we are told to act a certain way or have to fit in some certain image. let's get the country back to which it was, before all this "political correctness" and the "liberal side of thiings" occurred!

Alas, there is a rationally, thought out bunch of seemily truthful worries and fears in this, Ed. When they propose to exclude millions of people from the basic freedoms they love to say the troops have died for, be afraid... be very afraid.

Soon, I fear, we will be ostracized, as some already have called us UN-American, for our beliefs. Freedom doth not reign supreme when our leaders choose aids whose agendas require lock-step, mindless, demanding adherence. You have penned this very well... how sad. katy xox.
