Thoreauvian…
My Nature writes written with Thoreau in mind,
I would hope he does enjoy them when he does find,
Our lives for some reason seem to be attached; they do bind,
Could I be he, or he, me, in a prior life, reincarnation so blind…?
Did we come from the same tree, as it were?
Were we separated at birth, twins we are not,
Only in the sense we do write with ease about Nature,
It is “part and parcel” of our lives, our loves and our power…
Would I know him on the other side?
If we were to meet while sharing vegetarian meat,
Or playing on a waterfall, on the mossy rocks we would slide,
Wouldn’t that be appropriate, we would both go down on our seat?
Fun we could have speaking of Nature and life in general, ‘twould be so neat…

In 1845 Thoreau built himself a small cabin on the shore of Walden Pond “living deep and sucking out all the marrow of life.”
You do that!
Wishing to lead a life free of materialistic pursuits, he supported himself by growing vegetables and by surveying and doing odd jobs in the nearby village.
Grow some vegetables!
He devoted most of his time to observing nature, reading, and writing,
You do that!
And he kept a detailed journal of his observations, activities, and thoughts. It was from this journal that he later distilled his masterpiece, Walden.
Star on your journal, my friend.
