What else would I smell like...?

Poem Artwork

I smell like a dog…by Rufuz

Daddy does say that I smell like a dog,

Does he realize deep down what dog spelled backwards is?

He may think he looks to me like a god, but in reality I am HE,

And knowing this I do most certainly have the, to life, key…

So I do roll in the dirt, and sniff the ground & others leavings,

But I know who I am; I am not at all stressed, I love life and daddy,

I don’t need alcohol or drugs for false courage or to make me happy,

All I need is a treat, a good meal and to live with someone sappy…

Yes I may smell like a dog, but Daddy, isn’t that after all what I am?

As if I smelled like you I would need an exam,

Better to smell like a dog I would say, than to smell like a lamb,

Or worse yet dear dad, I could smell like that of a ham (oink)…

Lovely. This poem makes me feel that animals are a lot more honest than us. Franz. Happy new year.

I used to smell like my dog "Rocky" A rottie
Huge monster but gentle as a baby
every time i entered the yard
he thought it was play time,
so i played with him 15 minutes at a time
Then I smelled like him, ....time to bathe

William .....Peace Brother

Tell the truth, Rufuz. The ground ain't the only thing you sniff, right?
