Zen & the art of a talking dog…

Rufuz does talk up a storm,

Yes he does when he deigns to converse,

He says that people do speak out of turn,

They do talk about nothing, sometimes to themselves…

He is much like the guru on the top of the mount,

He does listen and internalize what he hears, like most dogs,

His actions are part and parcel of his reactions,

He does listen to people and other dogs through and through,

He does not just jump into the middle of a conversation,

That would be to his evaluation, too rude…

We all do most times forget the art of the listen,

To hear what others say, not to ignore and walk away,

We put off those we think are below us,

Those above us are few, so we think, or so we say…

We are not the top dog of society,

We are merely what we are at this very moment,

Some can find solace in this thought,

Or some can bring forth what they have sought,

Or some may find that they are less than what their dog does see,

Not a god, nor omnipotent, are any of us, yes we…
