Personal philosophy, as it were...

Poem Artwork

Hung up on the Self…

There are those that are hung up on themselves,

There are those that can’t climb a rung without telling all,

There are those that for little things start to ball,

There are those that even after an apology never call…

I have met some in my life,

That are hung up on the self,

Too much the center of the universe they are,

Or at least so they do think,

A pity, a shame, another so-called “friend” down the drain…

It doesn’t seem to affect some as it does them,

I think they should study some Zen,

Or maybe to sleep before they speak, they should get into rem,

But what do I know; I am not the center of the universe,

Nor am I hung up on the self,

I just calls em’ like I see em’, safe, out, foul or touchdown,

No need to get all in a tizzy, just use that delete button,

Doesn’t bother me either way,

I remain as always the clown with the upside down frown...
